You are right the famous beer festival of Munich Germany. It is amongst the most known beer festival and held annually with vigour and style. It all started back in 1810 when Bavarian Crown Prince Ludwig invited all the citizens of Munich to join in the festivities of his happy wedding day to Therese of Saxony – the tradition has continued on every year since!

Nobody does beer festivals quite like the Germans! Along with the Oktoberfest in Munich and London's Great British Beer Festival, Berlin forms part of the big three beer events in the world. Attracting upwards of 750,000 visitors, the atmosphere is of joyous, beer-swilling fun.

Held on the first weekend in August every year, the festival has a 'beer mile' which hosts 240 breweries from 80 different countries. It's located directly in the city center along Karl-Marx-Allee in Berlin Friedrichshain.
