The city of Venice (Venezia to the Italians) stretches across numerous small islands in a lagoon along the Adriatic Sea in northeast Italy. It has a population of about 272,000. Lord Byron called Venice "a fairy city of the heart" and it has earned the nickname La Serenissima, "The Most Serene." Venice is a unique cityscape of well-worn buildings that seem to float on water and marble steps that descend into lapping waters. Inhabited since the 6th century AD, Venice became a major sea power during the Crusades and a center of commerce and art during the Renaissance

Gondola ride: Take a trip of the city along the water way in the gondolas and enjoy a romantic and mystic evening. Truly something that no one should miss in Venice.

Beach outing: The isalnd of Lido is the place to spend some quality time in Venice. Located in between the lagoon and the sea, this island is all that a beach lover needs.

Murano: Situated in the north of Venice, this locality is renowned for glass blowing demonstration. The glass museum of Murano is a must see. The glass factories and the glass making shops allures tourists with some amazing glass sculptures.



St. Mark’s Basilica: This is a stunning church in Venice with wonderful architecture and designs with amazing mosaics, domes, statues, and the high altars. Further, there are three smaller museums within the basilica.

Doge’s Palace: Known in Italy as Palazzo Ducale in Italian, Doge's Palace. The fort is located on St. Mark’s Square and features beautiful arches, pink and white marble. The interior of the palace is decorated with the priceless artwork by Tintoretto, Titian, Bellini, Veronese and more.


Bridges: Along with the Gondolas, the stunning brides of Venice is another water related attraction. The major bridges to be seen are The Rialto Bridge, the Bridge of Sighs and the Accademia Bridge.


Food: The city is home to some exotic restaurants and food centers where you will get to taste numerous dishes and cuisines. Make the most of it by trying the Italian Pizzas and the feel will never be the same.
