Better known as the “Paradise Unexplored”, North East India is a heavenly juncture of three major biogeographic region of the world. The paradise carries a sobriquet of Eight Sisters which includes the famous eight states – Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram,Sikkim

Heritage


Ita Fort:
It is an important historical site of Arunchal Pradesh. It is assumed that about 80 lakhs of bricks were required to errect the structure.

Kangla fort:
It is an important fort of Manipur. It is one of the royal palace and was constructed in 1632 A.D. On your visit to Manipur, it is advisable to include Kangla fort on your North East India tour.

Mizoram State Museum:
Established in 1977, Mizoram State Museum, situated in Aizwal, remains open from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. from Tuesday to Friday. It is situated in Mizoram and displays about 2500 items.

Unnakoti Caves
It is one of the most beautiful tourists spots of Tirupura. It is one of the unrecogonized pilgrimage sites of India.

Wildife


Kaziranga National Park

It is one of the oldest national park in Northern Eastern Part of India. Accredited as World Heritage Sites , Kaziranga National Park is a home to one horned rhinos.

Manas National Park

It is another national park and a World Heritage Site of North East India. The park inhouses elephants and one horned rhinos.

Keibul Lam Jeo National Park

Spanning over an area of 40 sq kms, Keibul Lam Jeo National Park is an exotic national park of Manipur.

Orang National Park

Also termed as Miniature Kaziranga, Oranga National park spans over covering an area of 72 sq. Km. It is one of the famous national parks and restores its scenic beauty.

The best time to visit any National Parks in North East India is from November to March.



Temples

Kamakhya Temple
Situated at the top of Nilachal Hills, Kamakhya Temple is a Shakti Pith. Located in Assam, Kamakhya Temple is epitome of deep religious faith by Hindu followers.

Shri Hanuman Thakur Temple, Mahabali Forest
Constructed in the year 1725 AD., Shri Hanuman Thakur Temple, is one of the famous temples located in Imphal.

Buddhist Monasteries
Arunachal Pradesh is blessed with some of the famous buddhist monasteries which includes Bomdila, Tawang and Urgelling.

Surya Mandir:
Falling in the vicinity of Golapara in Assam, The Surya Pahar is an art gallery of Indian Scultpture. You would find several old temples which are scattered all over the hills.
